"1,000 Shillings (2002)
The obverse of this coin depicts a portrait of Sir Richard Burton as on the 5/- coin. However, the reverse depicts the coat of arms of Somalia, instead of the coat of arms of Somaliland. This is a very interesting error of design which collectors will notice."---Wikipedia
why is this? depicting images of kaffirs and "other countries"(Somalia) coat of arms on "YOUR currency"

".It was an oversight on the part of the Bank of Somaliland."
How can a "national bank" oversee that their code of arms is not on their currency, sorry bro but this makes no sense. Imagine Canada starting to produce Canadian currency with the American code of arms. It's unheard of.
Maybe the Somaliland bank is trying to tell us a message just messing with you.

Somali Prince, I have found out that the Somaliland silver 1,000/- medal-coin was struck at the Austrian Mint.It was them who were confused between the Somaliland Coat-of-Arms & the Somalian Coat-of-Arms.
